Welcome. I’m so glad you’re here.
If you’re anything like me, you hate planning. It’s not so much the act of planning, but the commitment. You want me to book a trip halfway around the world four months from now? No way. I don’t know what I’m doing tomorrow, so I’m certainly not shelling out $$$ on a trip that’s two seasons from now.
And that’s totally okay.
The beauty of travel is that you get to dictate the when & where, and you’re allowed to be spontaneous. All of the trips on this site were ones I booked on a whim. I saw a long weekend was approaching and used Skyscanner to find the cheapest flights at that time. Boom, two weeks later I was in Cuba.
In some cases I’ve planned one month ahead. In others, I’ve planned 12 hours ahead. If you’re up for traveling spontaneously and don’t have your heart set on where you want to go in that moment. This is the place for you. My hope is that you’ll see that traveling without much time to spare does not have to be expensive or stressful. In fact, it can be hella fun. Here are a few things I’ve done on my spontaneous trips:
Slept on the dreamy beaches of Turks & Caicos.
Snorkeled in the world’s only all-water cenote in Tulum.
Learned how olive oil is made on a local grove in Florence.
Studied the romance languages in Barcelona.
Jumped off a cliff and paraglided above the Aegean Sea in Turkey.
Dove the Great Barrier Reef.
Bathed with rescued elephants in Chiang Mai.
Hiked an active volcano in Kintamani.
And that’s only the beginning.
Time is not a restriction, so get out there and see the world.
